Summary:

 

The CSN is responsible to maintain and/or improve the health status of students, thus enabling them to be fully engaged in their educational experiences; and, to promote optimum health status and lifestyles for all students through the joint efforts of the home, school and community.  Strong collaboration with building leader(s), staff, families and external providers are required to ensure students’ needs are addressed.

 

Duties:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Valid PA Registered Nurse license
  2. Minimum 2 years of hands-on nursing experience in an acute/chronic care setting
  3. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  4. Certification as Educational Specialist by PDE
  5. CPR/AED certification
  6. Background/experience preferred in pediatric nursing, community health nursing, critical care nursing, medical-surgical nursing and/or emergency room nursing.
  7. Knowledge of current Child Abuse Law
  8. Other documents as required by the District
