Position: Nutrition Center General Worker
Locations: We currently have openings for the following buildings.

Fort Couch (2)
Eisenhower (1)
Schedule: This position has a set schedule, which is primarily Monday through Friday for 4.5 hours per day in the morning through lunch time. The expectation is that the Food Service General Worker is available to work the scheduled days/hours assigned during the school year.
Summary:
The Food Service General Worker is responsible for preparing and/or building food items while providing customer service and adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by school location.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
- Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc.
- Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes work stations
- Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers’ needs
- Replenishes food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adheres to District policies and procedures which includes proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensures security of District assets
- Other duties and tasks assigned by manager
Qualifications:
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Must be able to obtain food safety certification
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
Education and/or experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
